TWO YEAR HEALTH GUARANTEE
We love our pets and aim to provide healthy puppies to satisfied, qualified new owners.
- Your puppy must be seen by your veterinarian within 15 business days after going home in order to validate your guarantee. (If this is not possible, communicate this to us ahead of taking your puppy home with you and we can make allowances.) Your puppy comes with a Certificate of Health from our veterinarian and will have its first shot(s) and initial deworming recorded on a tri-fold Canine Health Record. Please bring this Canine Health Record with you to your veterinarian to discuss ongoing deworming, flea/tick prevention, and vaccination schedules. In order to prevent stress on your dog’s immune system, only schedule one vaccination per visit. (DO NOT give any oral flea/tick medicines containing isoxazoline or soralaner! Please request a topical flea/tick medicine.) Documentation of this first veterinary visit must be sent to the breeder within 7 days of the visit by mail, or a picture of paperwork via email or text.
- In the first 180 days after sale, we will honor Article 35-D of the General Business Law. (See The Sale of Dogs and Cats Notice).
- Our Extended Guarantee: If your puppy is diagnosed by a suitably qualified veterinarian as having a life-threatening or seriously disabling defect of a certain congenital/genetic origin at any time in its first two years of life, we will refund 100% of the purchase price or pay for treatment, up to the purchase price, at a veterinarian clinic approved by us. We as the breeders reserve the right to require a second opinion from a veterinarian of our choice at our expense. If your puppy is euthanized or in any way disposed of, without a second opinion from the breeder’s veterinarian, the buyer waives all rights to a refund. (This Health Guarantee is void in the event of an undetermined or inconclusive diagnosis. Diseases of environmental origin likely to be caused by suboptimal diet, chemicals, injury, or trauma, etc. are not covered. If your puppy dies, and you request a refund, you must have a necropsy performed by a suitably qualified veterinarian at your expense to determine the cause of death. Your puppy will be refunded if the death was caused by a genetic problem or an illness which your puppy had at the time of purchase.)
- Do not expose your puppy to other dogs that are not vaccinated until he/she has completed the entire vaccination schedule, around 16-20 weeks of age. Keep your puppy in arms when you are out in public with them during this time while their immune system is still immature.
- Do not run or jog with your dog on leash prior to 12 months as this can cause serious damage to their growing joints.
- For the long-term health of your puppy we recommend a complete and balanced diet that is AAFCO approved, has minimal fillers, and has minimal exposure to food additives. Grain free food should NOT be used due to severe health issues that have been proven to arise from a grain free diet.
- Your puppy is strictly sold as a TOP QUALITY PET. Your puppy is not to be used for breeding. A copy of the spaying or neutering documentation from a licensed veterinarian must be mailed or photographed and sent back to the breeder within the first year. We recommend delaying spaying/neutering until 9-12 months of age for the long term health of your dog.
- We as breeders do not guarantee size. We will give the buyer the weight of your puppy’s parents and the weight of other puppies from prior litters if possible. We give the buyer an educated guess as to full grown weight, but there are too many variables involved to accurately determine your puppy’s adult size.
If your puppy has not been seen by your veterinarian within 15 business days of purchase and we have not received proof of your puppy’s exam within 7 days of visit, has not had documented regular veterinary care, has been neglected or abused in any way, has been given any oral flea/tick medicines containing isoxazoline or soralaner, has been fed a suboptimal diet, has been over-exercised on leash, has been used for breeding, has not been spayed/neutered and we have not received proof of spaying/neutering within a year of purchase, or has been kenneled the majority of the time at any time or stage of development, this contract is null and void.
This contract only applies to the original purchaser and puppy stated below and cannot be transferred.
Lifetime Rehoming Guarantee
Your puppy has a lifetime rehoming guarantee with us. Should you have an inability to care for him/her in the future, you can contact us at any stage of your puppy’s life to return him/her to us. Under no circumstances must your puppy ever be given up to a shelter or sold without our permission.
