-How it works

Hear a little bit about our process in this delivery video, and see below for the step-by-step details of how it works.

First and foremost, feel free to contact us. Using our our website, Messenger, or a phone call, get in touch and we will answer your questions and discuss the possibilities with you.

We require a completed Puppy Application before accepting a deposit on any puppy. If there is a particular puppy or litter you are interested, please state so in your application. We will meet with you for a phone consultation based on the time you mentioned in your application. Plan approximately 15-20 minutes, in which we will have an opportunity to go over any questions you might have. This conversation helps us get a feel for your lifestyle and what you are looking for in a dog, what time-frame you are thinking of, and helps us to discern which of our puppies would be the best fit for you. We love hearing about your doggy experiences and sharing about our puppies!

Please make sure you have the time to train a puppy, arrange for it to go out during the day, have a secure yard or containment system plan, etc. Sending our puppies on to good, happy, and caring homes is an important task, and we don’t take this responsibility lightly.

Once we’ve spoken together on the phone and we feel that one of our puppies will be a good fit for you, and you are ready to make a deposit, we will send you a deposit request through your choice of either PayPal or Venmo (allowances can be made if neither of these is an option for you).

To reserve a puppy we require a $400 deposit.* This says that you are serious about getting a puppy, and that we no longer need to advertise said puppy, since it is being held for you.

You may put down a deposit on any puppy that is currently available. We will either hold said puppy until it reaches 8 weeks of age for pickup, or if he/she is older than 8 weeks we will hold him/her until the date set for pickup.

You may put down a deposit on an upcoming litter. This reserves a spot on the reservation list just for you, and we mark down your name based on the order of deposits received. Advance puppy reservations help us plan our litters for the year, so if there is a particular type of puppy you are looking for, please let us know.

Puppies are picked out in the order that we receive deposits. So, even if you were in contact with us about a certain puppy, but haven’t given a deposit yet, we do not consider that puppy reserved. If someone else happens to put down a deposit before you on the same puppy, they can get the puppy regardless of how long you might have been interested.

Example Reservation List:

1st Deposit: Gets first pick of the litter after us. (We as the breeders reserve the right to hold back any puppy for any reason at any time. We rarely do this, but it can happen.)

2nd Deposit: Gets second pick after the first deposit (and again, also after us, if we so choose).

3rd Deposit: You get the idea. If, for any reason you are further down the line on the reservation list of a current litter and the puppies left to be picked are not what you happen to be looking for in a dog, you can request that your deposit be transferred to a future litter. We will help you find the best fit.

Full Payment is due on the day of puppy pick-up.
We accept two forms of payment when you pick up your puppy: Cash or Certified Check. (Venmo and PayPal both have fees when using them for business, so we appreciate not using them for the final payment.)

Once you’ve chosen your puppy, we will set up a private appointment for pickup day (8 weeks of age, and picked puppies go home based on appointment availibilty rather than by the reservation list). We will have paperwork to be filled out and a gift bag of helpful supplies to ease the transition from our home to yours. Then it’s time to snuggle you fur-baby all the way home!

Please Note: We will have a 3 day window in which puppy pickup appointments are scheduled, typically Friday-Sunday. If you need us to hold your puppy beyond the designated pickup window, there will be a $50 charge per day to do so. This fee helps to cover your puppy’s extra food, daily care, grooming, and potential dewormer and vaccinations that will be administered while he/she is being held for you.

Bringing home your puppy doesn’t end at the door; you are free to contact us with any questions that might arise and we’ll do our best to answer them and offer any training tips we have up our sleeves. We love puppy updates, and pictures are wonderful!

*If your life circumstances change and you are no longer able to get a puppy (due to a job change, major move, etc.), your deposit can be refunded minus a $100 processing fee.
