  • 1 cup whole wheat Flour (oat flour can be used as a GF option)
  • 2 tbsp + 2 teaspoons your choice of nut butter
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup HOT water (not boiling)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F
  2. Mix together all ingredients to make a dough (Note: Oat flour dough will be spoonable, like drop biscuits.)
  3. With floured hands, pat dough to 1/4" thick on lightly floured surface.
  4. Use cookie cutters to cut out treats.
  5. Place cut-out treats on an ungreased baking sheet. (Spoon oat flour treats onto ungreased baking sheet.)

  7. Remove from oven when treats are puffed, golden brown, and crusty to touch.
  8. Allow to cool completely.
  9. Baked treats can be stored an uncovered container on the counter for about 3 days.
  10. Freeze treats in a sealed container if you want to save them longer than 3 days.
